and the magnificent mathematician Mika Alas ispired by the Danube.
Ivo Andric also lived here,
and Vlade Divac made his first scores.

Welcome to the country of unique people, tradition and culture,
the country where Josif Pancic’s Spruce first emerged,
country of sharpened polarities, where the cultural map confuses our guests:
where not being punctual is usually understood as spontaneity,
where bad organization is a possibility for resourcefulness to be shown
and disrespect of rules calls creativity to work …

Welcome here,
where reason and heart fight through history,
and can’t come to an agreement by no means .
It is our challenge to offer them our hand

Dobrodošli u Srbiju i na Balkan,na 23 EANLPt Konferenciju,
u Beograd, u prevodu beli grad.

Ovde se spajaju različite kulture i razdoblja, istok susreće zapad,
reka Sava uliva svoj tok u Dunav.
Gradska obala živi bogatim noćnim životom
tu se sklapaju poslovi i poznanstva,
i druži uz muziku, nacionalne specijalitete,

šljivovicu i druge rakije sveta.

Dobrodošli u zemlju iz koje je potekao Nikola Tesla,
naprecizniji kalendar osmislio Milutin Milinković,
a Mika Alas gledajući Dunav otkrivao čudesni svet matematike
Ovde je živeo i Ivo Andric,
a svoje prve koševe ubacio Vlade Divac.

Dobrodošli u zemlju jedinstvenih ljudi, tradicije i kulture,
zemlju na kojoj je nikla Pančićeva omorika,
zemlju izoštrenih polarnosti, gde kulturološka mapa zbunjuje naše goste:
netačnost se često zameni kroz spontanost
loša organizacija je mogućnost da se pokaže snalažljivost
a nepoštovanje pravila poziva kreativnost na delo...
